The Peek’n Peak website was my first larger-scale project. At the time, I had been designing (and sometimes developing) websites professionally for about 2.5 years. I had an impressive number of websites in my portfolio, but hadn’t worked on a project as big as the PKNPK website.
This project was a great learning experience that helped with my professional development. I was able to work closely with the Scott Enterprises marketing team to create a functional, modern website that incorporated all of the features our client desired.
There is a lot I love about the PKNPK website, but it’s worth noting that there are numerous improvements that could be made. There are some glaring UX issues that I noticed as soon as we launched the site. Unfortunately, there was no room in the project budget to address them. This became a learning experience that I constantly think back on while designing and handing off projects for development. By no means is the site poorly designed or developed, but any professional UI/UX designer could easily spot a large amount of improvements that could be made to enhance the user’s experience.
