The meterEZ app project holds a special place in my heart. It was the first app I was tasked with designing during the early days of my professional design career. A large portion of the city had their eyes on it. It was cool to be able to able to say “hell yeah, I made that.” The funny part about v1 of the app is that I threw together some mockups in one day to propose to the city of Erie and we ended up developing them. THANKFULLY we revisited the design of the app a few years later—it needed a LOT of work.
While the first version of the app was very simple and easy to use, it was held back due to development limitations. The meterEZ team decided the next best move was to redesign the app to enhance user experience.
The second version of the app is something I am proud to showcase in my portfolio. In comparison to v1, it is miles better and shows my growth as a designer.
